The Triple Crown of bikepacking is to complete all 3 classic US-based bikepacking routes: the Tour Divide, Colorado Trail and Arizona Trail. Races are held on each of these trails every year – racing and completing all 3 of these races within a single calendar year is known as the Triple Crown Challenge. The list of finishers of this latter challenge is short indeed.
In the summer of 2024, I (Liam) will be travelling to North America with the goal of completing the Triple Crown Challenge, with the added spice of riding between the finishes and starts of each race. I’ll spending the first 3 months out there solo, with El joining for the CTR and subsequent ride west through Utah and Arizona. The posts below are a collection from this trip.
